About Us
Class Placement
Dancers will be placed in the class that our teachers feel is most appropriate for the student’s age, maturity, ability to learn, and most importantly, technical
level.  Very often, students are asked to move to a different class level after the teacher is able to evaluate a dancer in class.  This is to assure that all
students are getting the best possible dance education.  Since the teacher will be working with the dancers and has the knowledge needed to place dancers
in classes, we ask that parents do not try to interfere with the teacher’s decision.  Most often, this will only hurt the dancer.  The age of a dancer is used only
as a guideline when considering what class to participate in.

Dress Code
All students are expected to follow the dress and hair
guidelines at all times.

Attire:  All students must wear a solid color leotard, pink tights for ballet or tan tights for other classes, and the proper shoes (see below).   All female
students, regardless of the warm weather, must wear tights.  No shirts or extra street clothes may be worn in class.  Booty shorts may be worn at the teacher’
s discretion.

Shoes:  Please use the following guidelines when purchasing shoes:

Hair must be fixed so that it will not come down during class.
Students will be asked to leave class until hair is fixed appropriately.

Registration process
Please follow the registration procedures to enroll in classes. You may either mail in your completed registration form with your payment or come to the
studio any time after the registration process begins.  If mailing your registration, please be sure to fill in ALL personal information (including your e-mail
address), sign the waiver, check off desired classes, and include your payment for your first month’s tuition, payable to POINTE COUNTERPOINTE.  You
may not register without your first month’s tuition payment.

Registration Fee
A $25.00 registration fee per dancer will be collected at the time of registration.  This fee will include a recital t-shirt for each dancer enrolled in our program.
Be sure to include your size.

Absences
It is extremely important that your child attend every class scheduled in order to get the most out of their dance education.  We realize, however, that
sometimes children get ill.  If your child is contagious, PLEASE STAY HOME!  Please call the studio to let us know you will not be attending that evening.
Please remember that in a group situation, if your child has excessive absences it affects the rest of the class.  Please plan your family vacation around your
dance schedule.  Too many absences may cause your child to fall behind.

Recital
We will be working towards our annual recital. Our 2016 recital is set for June 16-18.  All students are expected to perform in the recital.  Please let us know
if this is a problem.

Costumes
You will be required to purchase a costume for each performing class you are enrolled in. A non-refundable $50.00 costume deposit is due for each
costume by December 1st. Costumes generally range from  $50.00 to $80.00 each.  After the Christmas break, a total will be given for all costumes and the
balance due will be expected by February 1st or 28 days after the prices are posted on your account.  Please make all costume checks payable to Becky
Simpson.  Please do not include costume payments with your tuition payments.  There is a 3% fee for all costume payments made with a credit card.
Costumes will not be given out until the balance is paid in full.  Props used in class will be billed separately.

General Information
Drop off/pick up:  Please do not drop off students more than 15 minutes before class starts.  Be sure to return to pick up students promptly when class is
scheduled to finish.

Lobby Etiquette
Please be sure to keep conversation quiet while in the hallway outside of the dance studios so there are no class distractions.  Please do not talk or motion
to your child through the window during class.  Please be sure all siblings are supervised while in the building.  If young siblings join you for the evening at
PCPDC, PLEASE clean up after them before you leave.  If you choose to use any of the books or videos with your child, please be sure to replace them
when finished. These are for everyone to enjoy, but will be removed if the clutter becomes a problem.

Web Site
Our studio hosts a web site that displays current information on the latest happenings at PCPDC.  You can check us out at www.PCPDC.com.  We also have
many photos displayed on the web site and need your permission to do so.  Be sure to sign the waiver on your registration form to allow us to use pictures
on our web site.

Change of Address
If you have a change in any personal information including address, telephone, e-mail, work, please be sure to update the information at the front desk.

Check in
When you arrive at the studio each day for class, please check in at the front desk before your class starts to be sure you are included in the class
attendance roster and to pick up any notes going home that evening.   We offer an attendance award at the end of the season for those that manage to
attend every class.

Communication
We will keep you informed of all events via e-mail.  Please be sure you keep us updated if your contact information changes.  If you do not use e-mail,
please let us know so a paper copy of all information can be given.

Lost and Found
We have a lost and found box in the hallway out side of studio B.  All unclaimed articles found after class will be put in this box.  If you are missing any items
please check the box.  **It is very important to put your name or initials inside everything you use at the studio.  If items are found with your name on them,
we will return them to you.

Cubbies
We offer the use of a cubby to keep your dance bag in while in class.  If you choose to use a cubby, please keep it neat!  DO NOT PUT FOOD INSIDE THE
CUBBIES!  There is no charge for the use of a cubby.  If not using a cubby, please be sure to keep your bag under a chair and out of the walkway.  We will
not be held responsible for any items left overnight at the studio.

Food and Drinks
Because many students are at the studio for many hours it is sometimes necessary to have a meal or snack during the evening.  Please be sure to pick up
after yourself and dispose of all trash.  This is not the responsibility of the office staff.
We offer snacks and drinks for a small fee, available in the lobby.  This privilege will be taken away if trash becomes a problem.  It is a good idea to send
some change with your child for a drink or snack if necessary, or you are welcome to send a water bottle.  No food or drinks are allowed in the dance
studios!  All snacks must be consumed between classes.  Students will not be allowed to leave class for a snack. Please—No IOU’s.
